SLEEPWALKING- BRING ME THE HORIZON (lyric)

"Sleepwalking"

My secrets are burning a hole through my heart
And my bones catch a fever
When it cuts you up this deep
It's hard to find a way to breathe

Your eyes are swallowing me
Mirrors start to whisper
Shadows start to see
My skin's smothering me
Help me find a way to breathe

Time stood still
The way it did before
It's like I'm sleepwalking
Fell into another hole again
It's like I'm sleepwalking

I'm at the edge of the world
Where do I go from here?
Do I disappear?
Edge of the world
Should I sink or swim?
Or simply disappear?

Your eyes are swallowing me
Mirrors start to whisper
Shadows start to see
My skin's smothering me
Help me find a way to breathe

Seeing as time stood still
The way it did before
It's like I'm sleepwalking
Fell into another hole again
It's like I'm sleepwalking

Wake up!
Take my hand and
Give me a reason to start again
Wake up!
Pull me out and
Give me a reason to start again

Time stands still
(Time stands still)
Time stands still
(Time stands still)

Your eyes are swallowing me
Mirrors start to whisper
Shadows start to see
My skin's smothering me
Help me find a way to breathe

Time stood still
The way it did before
It's like I'm sleepwalking
Fell into another hole again
It's like I'm sleepwalking
(It's like I'm sleepwalking)
(It's like I'm sleepwalking)
(It's like I'm sleepwalking)

Time stood still
The way it did before
It's like I'm sleepwalking

SHADOW MOSES -BRING ME THE HORIZON (lyric)

"Shadow Moses"

[3x]
Can you tell from the look in our eyes?
(we're going nowhere)
We live our lives like we're ready to die
(we're going nowhere)

Can you tell from the look in our eyes?
(we're going nowhere)
We live our lives like we're ready to die
This is sempiternal

I thought I buried you and covered the tracks
You'll have to take this with your cold dead hand
I thought I buried you where sin can never die

I thought I cut you loose, severed the feeling
I slipped through the cracks as you clamped to my shirt
I thought I buried you where sin can never die

(Fuck!)

Can you tell from the look in our eyes?
(we're going nowhere)
We live our lives like we're ready to die
(we're going nowhere)
You can run but you'll never escape
(over and over again)
Will we ever see the end?
(we're going nowhere)

This is sempiternal
Will we ever see the end?
This is sempiternal
Over and over, again and again.

Rise from the dead you said
Secrets don't sleep 'til they're took to the grave
Signal the sirens, rally the troops
Ladies and gentlemen,
It's the moment of truth

[2x]
Can you tell from the look in our eyes?
(we're going nowhere)
We live our lives like we're ready to die
(we're going nowhere)
You can run but you'll never escape
(over and over again)
Will we ever see the end?
(we're going nowhere)

This is sempiternal
Will we ever see the end?
This is sempiternal
Over and over, again and again.

Oliver Scott Sykes (born November 20, 1986), commonly also known as Oli Sykes, is an English singer known for being the lead vocalist of the British metalcore band Bring Me the Horizon.

Early life

Oliver Sykes was born November 20, 1986, in Ashford, Kent. He moved to Australia with his parents Ian and Carol Sykes when he was young, moving between Adelaide and Perth over the course of about five years. He then moved back to the United Kingdom at the age of about eight to Stocksbridge, Sheffield. As a teenager, he attended Stocksbridge High School, the same school where Arctic Monkeys band members Alex Turner, Andy Nicholson, Matt Helders and Nick O'Malley attended. He was a year below Turner and Helders.[1][2]
Sykes has stated that he enjoyed the subjects English and Art while at high school, but was not interested in science or mathematics whatsoever.[1] While at school in 2003 he began crafting together compilation CDs and short tracks under the name Quakebeat.[3] He also played in other bands including mock hip-hop band "Womb 2 Da Tomb" with fellow Bring Me the Horizon member Matt Nicholls and brother Tom Sykes, and metal band "Purple Curto" as drummer/vocalist with schoolfriend Neil Whiteley, under the pseudonym "Olisaurus", which he would later use for releasing solo material.

[edit] Music career

[edit] Bring Me the Horizon

Bring Me the Horizon was formed in March 2004 after Sykes and all the other founding members, who had all been a part of several local and separately defunct bands were noticed by Thirty Days of Night Records and formed the band while signing them, being the first band ever signed to the label.[4][5] In the months following their formation Bring Me the Horizon created a demo album, titled Bedroom Sessions, featuring two songs that would be re-recorded for their debut release. The demo featured three tracks: Shed Light / Metal Song, Who Want's Flowers When You're Dead? Nobody. and an instrumental version of Rawwwrr![5] The group released their first EP, This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For on 2 October 2004. The EP was recorded in Nottingham over the course of two weekends, recording the drums and bass guitar in the first weekend and then guitars and vocals in the second weekend in the studio.[6] It was re-released on 20 January 2005 through Visible Noise.[4] The re-release of the EP gained the band a significant amount of attention, peaking at 41 on the UK album charts.[7]
In 2006, Bring Me the Horizon released their debut full-length album Count Your Blessings. The album was released in the United Kingdom in October 2006, and in the United States in August 2007. The band's second album, Suicide Season was released in 2008, and saw a departure from the deathcore sound of their debut into a more eclectic sound.[8] Oliver Sykes described the album as "100% different to Count Your Blessings" and that the album sounds "more rock than metal".[9] Suicide Season was followed by their third album, There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret in 2010. During this time he also contributed guest vocals on albums by Admiral's Arms and Deez Nuts. In 2012 he contributed vocals to the Architects song "Even If You Win, You're Still a Rat" from their album, Daybreaker.
Oliver Sykes is not only the lyricist but also has been seen as a large contributor to the song writing process in Bring Me The Horizon. Sykes' lyrics have a strong feeling of catharsis for him as he mainly draws from personal experience and has likened the band's live performances to being therapeutic.[10] Typically, the band's writing process involves Sykes writing the main structure of the songs and then lead guitarist Lee Malia would individually write the main riff. From this they would collaborate with each other to structure their work better and then to later include the rest of the band in writing the rest of the song.[11] He describes The Dillinger Escape Plan and Every Time I Die as significant influences on his writing in Bring Me the Horizons early work saying "they’re probably the two bands who’ve influenced our band more than anyone in the world." Whilst citing Pink Floyd and Orange Goblin as a significant influence on his later song writing.[1]

[edit] Clothing line

In addition to his vocal contributions and songwriting in the band Bring Me the Horizon, Oliver Sykes is also the founder and owner of the alternative clothing line Drop Dead Clothing. Drop Dead Clothing is one of the most popular alternative clothing and accessories lines in the world, catering for both male and female, and ships worldwide.[1]

[edit] Controversy

[edit] Nottingham incident

While on tour in the UK, allegations were made that Sykes urinated on a female fan after a gig at Nottingham Rock City. He was subsequently charged,[12] but all charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence.[13] Online music zine Drowned in Sound claimed that Bring Me the Horizon were banned from Nottingham Rock City,[14] a claim that turned out to be false when the band subsequently played Nottingham Rock City on 1 December 2007.[15]

[edit] Impersonator incident

UK McDonald’s employee David Russell posted on Facebook as Oli Sykes and attempted to murder BMTH fan Maricar Benedicto.[16] Russell lured Benedicto to the UK under the previso that he was Sykes before taking her to a forest near his Northampton home and persuading the 19-year-old to wear a blindfold, saying he had a gift for her.[17] The terrified teenager tried to escape but the 20-year-old McDonald’s worker stabbed her several times, hit her in the face with a log and headbutted her. Miraculously, she survived.[17] Russell received a life sentence for his crimes.[18]

[edit] Video with Architects

During a tour, Bring Me the Horizon and Architects filmed a video showing a staged fight between Sykes and Architects' lead singer Sam Carter. The video was uploaded to YouTube and resulted in outraging many Bring Me the Horizon fans, believing it was real. This caused many to send hate mail towards Carter, whom later made it clear in an interview with Kerrang! that the whole thing was a joke, as did Sykes.[19]

[edit] Personal life

Sykes dated girlfriend Sarah Jayne "SJ" Whiteley from late 2003 until mid 2008. Whiteley is the sister of Purple Curto band mate Neil. In October 2008, Oli Sykes met Amanda Hendrick at the Barfly music venue, where she tagged along for the remainder of Bring Me the Horizon's UK tour. Sykes and Hendrick dated until September 2011, then separated for a period, before resuming their relationship again in June 2012. Hendrick models for Sykes' Drop Dead clothing line. The couple broke up in October 2012.[20] He is now dating Hannah Snowdon.
Sykes' has numerous tattoos covering his body, arms, legs, neck, throat and even three on his face. He is also vegetarian.

Cara Menjadi Ahli Desain Web - Tips Menguasai HTML, PHP, MySQL

survei
Cara Menjadi Ahli Desain Web - Tips Menguasai HTML, PHP, MySQL.

    Released: January 14, 2013
Sempiternal is the upcoming fourth studio album by British metalcore band Bring Me the Horizon. It is planned to be released in April 2013 Through Sony Music Entertainment subsidiary label RCA. Written and recorded throughout 2012, Sempiternal showed the band pool diverse influences from electronic music, ambient music and pop. "Sempiternal" is an archaic English word denoting the concept of "everlasting time" that can never actually come to pass.[2] It is the last album to feature rhythm guitarist Jona Weinhofen, who left shortly after recording finished in January 2013.

Background

In 2011, Bring Me the Horizon were finishing up the tour that was held in support of the band's previous album There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret. After this they wished to issue a remix extended play consisting of electronica remixes of tracks off the album, all done by British electronic producer Draper, in the attempt to release it by January 2012. However because of the band's label situation with Visible Noise it was cancelled.[3][4] Later on in the year in July it became announced that the band would release their fourth album on RCA Records.[5] Although the band's split from Visible Noise wasn't strictly aggressive, the band wanted to join a major record label due the lack of resources and support an independent label could offer during the album's development and promotion.[6] RCA Records have given Bring Me the Horizon lengthy support since their signing, the label introduces their signing or Bring Me the Horizon with the statement "signing you is as important as signing Metallica".[6]

[edit] Writing and recording

In 2012 the band decided to stop both their touring and their appearances in the media, instead to focus on the writing of their fourth album, with rhythm guitarist Jona Weinhofen saying "we're not very good at getting motivated to write on tour".[7] The band initially wanted to start recording the album in May, however Sykes believed it was too soon and that the band should just demo for a few months instead.[8] The band posted several images of them recording at a ‘Top Secret Studio Location’[9] which was later revealed to be the Angelic Studio in Banbury, Oxfordshire.[10] The band announced that by September they would be entering the studio for the pre-production for the album.[11]
Vocalist Oliver Sykes revealed in an interview with Kerrang! that Jordan Fish of Worship had been working closely with Bring Me the Horizon in the studio, helping write the album and contribute electronics.[2] His role developed over the course of writing the album as he was initially there to be instructed by the band in what to do but he slowly started to have more say in the album's writing.[2] As his role continued he eventually became "essential" to the framework of the album and that he became "one of the leaders in terms of composition".[1] Sykes has said how both Fish, lead guitarist Lee Malia and himself would spend days writing in his own home.[1] Throughout the development of the album he was never announced as an official member of the band but would tour with the band in support of Sempiternal.[2] However in early 2013 Rocksound magazine confirmed Fish had left Worship and joined Bring Me the Horizon to become a six piece band.[1] By the middle of September it was announced that Terry Date, who is known for his work with bands like Deftones, Limp Bizkit and Pantera would be the album's producer.[12] Sykes said he admires Date's production work shown on White Pony and Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water.[8] Sykes believes that some of the work Date has done on the band's production makes Bring Me the Horizon sound like a completely different band.[8]
On 3 November 2012, the band invited fans and the Drop Dead Clothing team to enter Angelic Studios to record the gang vocals for Sempiternal.[13] Jordan Fish acted as a conductor for the crowd.[14]

[edit] Composition

[edit] Musical style

Despite Sykes doubts with joining a major record label in terms of the bands musical output, believing they would try to convince Bring Me the Horizon to release something more radio friendly, instead RCA and Sony have pushed the band to "write the heaviest album they can."[6] Although instead of going for a heavier sound, Bring Me the Horizon pooled more diverse influences in preparation for the writing of Sempiternal. During the development of the album Sykes said he, along side Jordan Fish were inspired by all the music they heard throughout their daily life and thought about how it applied to their style. Taking influence from hip hop, reggae, pop, dance[2] and both the soundscapes and "weird pianos" from film soundtracks.[8]
Describing the album as blending pieces of their previous three albums and then creating "a whole new sound" Sykes summarises the album as having a "massively" influenced by various electronic music genres.[6] Sykes also sees the album as possessing a very euphoric "happy sad" feeling[6] and this is shown where one of the tracks on the album surfaced to sound like the soundtrack to the end of the world.[15]

[edit] Lyrical themes

Lyrically, the album which is still penned by Sykes are much more positive,[15] more tongue-in-cheek in comparison to the dark lyricisms of the previous album, There Is A Hell.[6] The album's lyrics are also focus of self reflective themes of analysing the consequences of his actions on peoples live and transforming them into an apology.[15]

[edit] Release and Promotion

On 5 November 2012 the band announced that they had hosted a website domain for the album 'sempiternal.info' in which they release an audio clip of 'Shadow Moses' The website also displays an artistic video which eventually forms a symbol (the Flower of Life) which will most likely be part of the album's cover art.[16] On 9 November the band played a free gig in their home town of Sheffield before co-headlining the UK Warped Tour Festival in London with Lostprophets.[17] The first single from the album, "Shadow Moses", debuted on Daniel P. Carter's Rock Show on BBC Radio 1 on January 4, 2013. "Shadow Moses" was officially released as a single on iTunes on January 14, 2013.
